On the afternoon of September 12, 2023, the Opening Ceremony of the Class of 2023 of the School of Foreign Languages of East China Normal University was held. SFL’s leaders, representatives of teachers, class teachers, counselors and all new students attended.

In his speech, Dean Yang Yanning discussed with the students what kind of mindset and actions they should take to spend their college life full of unlimited opportunities and charms. Zhao Gang, head of the Department of Translation, congratulated students on becoming an honorable ECNUer.

Representatives of the new students, Eunice Peng, Shicane Liu, and Yurong Wu, also gave the speeches to express their expectations for their future study and self-growth.
